ABOUT

I took my first photography class at Second Space Studios in Birmingham, Alabama in 1990.
​
After graduating high school I moved to Manhattan and studied at the School of Visual Arts. In addition to obligatory gallery showcases I began to seek out assignments.
My first clients included The New York Times, British Elle, and Saks Fifth Avenue. I also shot film stills and Broadway stars for Theater publications.
​
In 2008 I moved West and settled in San Francisco. I am still happy to call it home.
​
I love people. Yes is my favorite subject. I believe a portrait can be a connection, a memory, a story, and a truth.
(But I’m not ashamed to make y'all look pretty.)
